Project Menorca

The project
Through our parent agency, McKenna Townsend, our team was tasked with developing a global corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme for Sunseeker International
Objectives
- Identify potential partners as part of a global CSR strategy for Sunseeker International
- Ensure it was a long-term partner that would work across all target stakeholders
Delivery
- Following extensive research, we identified BLUE, a charity dedicated to creating marine reserves and establishing sustainable models of fishing
- Worked with BLUE to identify a project in Menorca to support. Menorca faces increased pressure from unregulated fishing, tourism and pollution. Project initiatives include the development of eco-moorings to preserve seagrass beds, installing sea bins, creating a dedicated ‘ranger’ monitoring programme and recycling
- Created dedicated exhibition space at the Southampton Boat Show – utilising Simon Le Bon as the special guest
Results
- Sunseeker is actively supporting BLUE with the Menorca project. This model of conservation is now also being adopted in other areas of the world
- Managed Southampton Boat Show press conference which was attended by hundreds of attending guests and media
